End of May, we went to the Lake Placid Center of Arts (LPCA) to revisit part of the Eagles soundtrack, performed by a cover band, fittingly named “Hotel California”. Their show, A Salute to the Eagles, was founded with the intent of filling the void left by the demise of The Eagles in 1982. By blending extraordinary vocal and musical talents, Hotel California faithfully reproduces the sound of the Eagles’ studio recordings and transcends the boundaries of Rock, R&B, and Country, delivering an action-packed performance that brings this timeless music into the new millennium.
The playlist included most of the bigger hits, covering Desperado, One of These Nights, Tequila Sunrise, and obviously Hotel California. It was magic trip down a dark desert highway, feeling the cool wind in our hair, and experiencing again the Grammy Award winning sounds that defined a generation.
